More about Nepal

I also wanted my friends to see a video where they captured Nepal through tourist's perspective. It well exhibits how hospitable and welcoming people in Nepal are.

Another thing I thought our group should know about is the head bobble. South Asians are very famous for it. Not knowing what head bobble means might create lots of confusion and sometimes knowing it creates too. Nevertheless, its better to know something than not. The video is a fun to watch.

To our knowledge, our work will result in the first empirical study that examines how history of conflict impacts natural disaster resilience.

8 million individuals in Nepal have been impacted by the 2015 earthquake.

We have succeeded in creating a new variable, partnered with the Geological Sciences Department at Texas A&M University to better estimate earthquake intensity using magnitude and distance.
