He earned a BA in political science from Brigham Young University. During his spare time he enjoys volunteering with his local scout troop.

Leah is currently pursuing a Master of International Affairs at the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University. She is on the International Economic Development track with concentrations in Transfer Pricing and Conflict and Development. Future plans currently consist of pursuing a career in transfer pricing.

We are a team of graduate students at the George H. W. Bush School of Government and Public Service, working on a capstone project focusing on the impact of the 2015 earthquakes in Nepal. Our clients include the Center on Conflict and Development at Texas A&M University and USAID.
We will be conducting surveys of school children in areas of Nepal most affected by the 2015 earthquakes in March 2016.

Alexandra is a second-year master’s student at The Bush School studying International Affairs: National Security and Diplomacy. She holds concentrations in the Middle East, American Foreign Policy, and Conflict and Development. Her prior experiences include attending Arabic language camp in 2015 and completing disaster relief work in the United States from 2011 until 2014. In her spare time Alexandra volunteers at Twin City Missions, a local non-profit in Texas.
Dr. Leslie Ruyle

Dr. Leslie Ruyle is the Network and Student Engagement Coordinator for the Center on Conflict and Development at Texas A&M University. She previously worked as Program Coordinator for the National Science Foundation-IGERT Applied Biodiversity Science Program. Dr. Ruyle received her Ph.D. in Ecology from the University of Georgia’s Odum School of Ecology and has worked on conservation projects around the world. She served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in northern Ghana and has traveled to over 60 countries in her career.

Dr. Ren Mu
Associate Professor, Capstone Advisor
Dr. Mu's research is in the empirical microeconomics area of development economics. She primarily focuses on decision making of households and individuals in the developing world. Through evidence-based analysis, her research goal is to enhance the understanding of micro foundations for designing and implementing sound development strategies and public policies.

Originally from Houston, Texas, Brittany is a Bush School Graduate Merit Fellow whose concentrations include the Middle East/Asia and Multinational Enterprises. She earned a BBA in Management with a certificate in international business from the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. During her academic career, she has studied in China, Egypt, France, Malaysia, Mexico, Singapore, and the United Kingdom.
Morten Wendelbo

Morten is earning an MA in International Development and Economic Policy from the George H. W. Bush School of Government and Public Service and holds a BA with honors in political science from Washington and Lee University. Morten specializes in complex emergencies and humanitarian response, as well as democratization and broad economic policy between and within Asian countries. His current research focuses on disaster resilience in Nepal, and the democratic transition in Myanmar.
